Dr. Diwan is a board certified adult psychiatrist. She did her psychiatry residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in New York where she served as Chief resident for one year. She then completed further training by pursuing a fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

Prior to residency she had the wonderful opportunity to get a Master's in Public Health (MPH) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

She has worked in different settings (Inpatient, outpatient, private group practice and HMO) before deciding that private practice is a good fit for her to give patients the time and quality of care that she is passionate about.
